About AGHA Festival Ventures

AGHA Festival Ventures was established to give the Festival structured financial oversight, commercial control and management support. It operates as a distinct management function with independent financial oversight, coordinating the systems required to plan, control, monitor and report the Festival's financial and operational activity.

A festival of international scale carries obligations long before the first day of programming and long after the last. Contracts are signed, suppliers engaged, sponsorship secured and deposits paid across many months. Our role is to make sure those commitments are planned, authorised, recorded and reconciled — so the Festival's financial position is never a matter of guesswork.

To provide AGHA Festival with the financial discipline, visibility, accountability and management control required to deliver a major international festival responsibly and sustainably. Festival management is given clear sight of:

• where revenue is coming from
• how funds are being allocated and spent
• what financial and contractual commitments have been made
• what amounts are due to suppliers and service providers
• how sponsorship and commercial revenues are performing
• how actual performance compares with approved budgets
• what management action is required to protect cash flow, control costs and maintain financial discipline
